Looks abit dull to me for some reason. All sluggish and orange/yellow, a bit fiddly/awkward also. The 1st one was brilliant though, still worth playing by todays standards. Its the only game half decent comming out for a while though, till battlefield 3 or dead island I think!

Starting to get excited about this now. Should be very good. :)

There are very few games that all of us at RPS find ourselves all anticipating so hotly, and this week Deus Ex: Human Revolution is finally with us. Copies should unlock in the US at midnight tonight, while other parts of the world (needlessly) have to wait another four days. Are our anticipations met? I’ve finished the game and will do my best to tell you Wot I Think.

It’s an extraordinary relief. Like that moment when your shoulders finally slide down into the hot bathwater, you physically and mentally relax in the knowledge that you’re back to that place. Remember when first-person games were complex, multifarious, and had a quicksave? Remember Thief, Deus Ex, Bloodlines? It’s that place, that brain-massaging, hair-stroking safe place of excellence that it was getting hard to remember ever really happened.

It’s worth noting at this point that I have no intentions of going into the intricacies of the game’s plot, any of the surprises in place, and I’m even going to avoid getting into too many of the mechanics of how it works. Much is about free exploration of ideas, and making decisions based on the limited information available and your own personal agendas. Saying, “It’s so great that feature X eventually lets you…” or “It’s crap that X never really gets powerful enough” could define how you’ll play, which would be robbing you of what I had when I started. At the same time, it is necessary to critique some aspects of the game that will by necessity count as such mechanical spoilers. I’m aiming to be extremely careful.

A gentle opening sets some agendas. Following your scientist companion through the laboratories of Sarif Industries, you as Adam Jensen (with the face you’re given) begin on rails. You meet people, watch conversations, and get a feel for the place you work in. Before everything around you goes to ****. It’s going to be a game about people, about places, and about conflict.

Would apreciate the views of anybody who's played it when the time comes.

Loving this so far, 1st game in ages (since fallout 3 maybe) that's sapped me in! Played 13 hours in 2 days . The graphics are pretty cool, nothing compared to crysis, it seems more half life 2. The button layout was perefect for me without any fettling. Good story so far, i'm actually watching the FMV's and enjoying them. I was expecting this game to be a let down but i'm so glad it isnt. I'm playing it through pretty stealthy at the moment, 2nd time round i think i'm just going to go guns blazing.

Can you go guns blazing? Cos I hate stealth games, Thief and Hitman series left me cold. Just wondering.

you can certainly go all guns blazing, and i would say its just as difficult as going stealth, but you can have good fun doing it. The best trick i found is to get there attention and lure them to a door and hide behind it, let them in 1 by 1 and just take them down with hand to hand non lethal contact and they just keep coming for more giving your max xp.

Just done the second boss, loads of restarts, shes so damn powerful, 1 hit with here typhoon and I'm dead! Had to break out me plasma gun then assault rifle her down.

I've got maximum inventory space but it just is not enough! I'm constantly having to leave goodies behind because I don't have the space to carry. There should be more places to sell as I don't like to drop items!

Maxed out a few hacking aug's, I think there the most important augs in the game. Gone for some legs ones and invisible ones now. Next i'm going for the stealth ones.

I used a lot of weapon upgrades on my assault rifle, in retro spec I should of used them on the machine gun pistol as that seems to be the most popular gun on the game, I must have 600 bullets for it!

I seen there's an achievement for going through the game without killing anyone, that would seem abit boring to me, doesnt intrest me in the slightest, I bet its the longest way to do it, having to watch the patterns of the guards/enemys all the time, much more fun shooting em ;-)

Graphics play a part but dont make a game great! You shouldnt disregard it because the graphics are slightly dated, your shooting yaself in the foot there, go and get it!

Well i finished this one on ps3 last night ....very enjoyable. I played it both stealth and all guns blazing. Double take downs are great. It felt a bit like Mass Effect at times. Great game and it lasted quite a while too. Graphics were very good. I know that cos my eyes felt like they were burning after 8 hours or so lol.
