Somehow I managed to make a yahoo page as backround
wallpaper to my desktop with the icons appearing on top.
I've tried everything to remove it. Any suggestions?

Control Panel>Display>Desktop tab. In the Background list, click on "None"
(the red circle with line in it). Or select a wanted one; it appears on the
little monitor above the list. Also can change background color. Apply and
OK to close. Repeat the procedure if not happy,
