Desktop settings

Somehow my settings changed and I can not figure out how to restore it.

The background to the program icon text on my desktop used to be
transparent. Now it is colored and I find it distracting.

How do I reset it?

Change this in Display Properties, Appearance, Advanced. Or a shortcut that
might work would be to use System Restore to go back to the day before this
started.
