Desktop icons in different positions for different hardware profiles

I have a notebook PC that I use in a port replicator, in a docking station, and undocked. My desktop icons seem to have different position settings for each of these hardware profiles. I would like to be able to put the icon in one place and have it stay there no matter where I dock

Any ideas?

Hi Brian

I have the same problem. Please let me know if you find anything to solve it. I would prefer NOT to install any other 3rd party software to manage the desktop.
