Desktop icon font color

How do I change the font color used to display icon names? All of my desktop
icon names are currently displayed as white type in a black box background
(i.e. 'My Computer' is the name of the computer icon, etc.) I changed my
desktop picture & would like to use a dark blue color for the names. I went
to Display in the Control Panel but can't find a way to change the color used
for icon names. Hope this makes sense & that someone can help.

Austin:

I tried that first. It didn't work so I tried to get help in this forum.

Thanks anyway.

That controls selected items.
Such as when you click on a destop icon.
Windows will automatically contrast the icon font color
to the background color.

A white or light background makes the font color black.
A black or dark background makes the font color white.

I understand what you're saying about the color scheme. What I have is a
colored box around the font, i.e. blue box with white font inside. I want to
get rid of the box so I just see the writing (font). Any suggestions? Also,
sorry for the delay. I do appreciate the help.
