Hi Jim,

Go to http://www.tune-up.com/ and download a Trial Copy of TuneUp
Utilities 2006. It is a 30-day Trial, fully functioning.

It has the ability to correct your problem. Click TuneUp System Control.
Then on the Left side under Wizards click Correct Problems. Here you can fix
your problem.

However, make sure it is completely gone from the Quick Launch Toolbar
and not out of position, but just hidden, because you added additional
programs.

Click Start - Run - Copy/Paste the following line :
notepad "%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Show Desktop.scf"
When Notepad asks, click Yes. Copy/Paste the following in Notepad :
--Dont include this line-----------
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
--Dont include this line------------
Save the file > Enjoy the shortcut

And you can also use these shortcuts :
WinKey - D [Show Desktop]
WinKey - D [Restore Open Windows]
WinKey - M [Minimize All Windows (Not Dialogs)]
WinKey-Shift-M [Restore Minimized windows]

Create a text file in Notepad as follows:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Save it as Show Desktop.scf then drag it to the Quick launch bar.
Or just click on this link:

Restore/Add Show Desktop to Quick Launch (Line 61)

Also note that you can do this with a keyboard shortcut: the combination of
the Windows key + D or the Windows key + M.
