Desktop "Folder Tasks" blue bar on left of desktop

Hi,

I may have pressed some wrong keys on my keyboard accidently and now on my
desktop, there is a blue bar which occupies approximately the 1st quarter of
the left side of the desktop. My normal icons i.e. Recycle Bin are still
visible, but just to the right of the blue bar which is taking up the 1st
quarter of the left of the screen.

On the bar are the following items shown

"Folder Tasks"

"Other Places"

"Details"

When I click these, they bring up a sub-menu which is similar to the type of
menu on the left of the "My Documents" folder.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this? I have tried changing the
backround and theme but to no avail. I have also tried to click and drag the
bar away but this does not work either. The desktop appears fine in the
other user accounts on my machine.

Thanks

Duncan
