Windows cannot find III' Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try
again. To search for a file, click the start button and then click search.
Ok

Desktop could not load or run III' specified in the registry. Make sure the
file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry.

I'm sick and tired of this error message. Please help. Thank you.

Click Start > Run > regedit

Search for the string in question ie. III' (using CTRL-F) - then remove that
registry key. Remember to press F3 after finding each occurence of the
string, so you find all of them.

Hope this helps!

Yes, your answer help me find the string and I was asked if I wanted to
remove all of that string and I clicked yes but I still have the problem.
I'm afraid to work with the registry. I have very little experience in
computer technology. Is there an easier way? I appreciate your help.

The information given to you was wrong, wrong, wrong! You should never
arbitrarily edit the registry and remove information WITHOUT knowing what it
belongs to, supports, or installed by.

What should have been done, was to report back here what the string was, so
that someone could assist you in tracking down on your system, where this
application resides and to determine what may be causing the message popup.

Did you write down the string that you removed?

You could also check the Event Viewer log and see if more info is given when
this message popups up....

Start Menu | Run and type eventvwr.msc

And when does this message popup? WHen you start the computer or all the
time?

Thanks, New Science

I removed something that looks like this III' and the subs? The message
pops up only when I start the computer. Application errors- 9/1/06---True
Vector Service and Application hanging. System errors-9/1/06--Service
Control MA. and DCOM. I will not attempt to edit the registry again. I
appreciate your help.

In what section of the registry was it in? HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/Classes/....
or HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/Clsid/...?

IN one of those keys (and/or subkeys), some mention of a pathname to an
application, DLL, support file or something would have been given. That
would have helped to tracked down where and what it was.

Try doing another Search in regedit, and see if you get any matches. Then
post back here.
Application errors- 9/1/06---True Vector Service and Application hanging

There is a problem with ZoneAlarm Firewall. Check and see that this
application is being started thru SERVICES.MSC. It should show as Status:
Started and Startup Type: Automatic
System errors-9/1/06--Service Control MA. and DCOM

You need to double-click on these entries and read the error description and
post back.
