Desktop Background quit working

My computer uses WinXP and IE7.

While I was surfing the net yesterday, the app "SpyShredder" begin scanning
my system. (I don't want that app because I already have a virus scanner
that works well). The "SpyShredder" finally stopped scanning, saying I had
156 infected files. When I finally got the "SpyShredder" removed from my
hard drive and restarted my computer, my Desktop picture was gone leaving
only a blue screen.

I went to the desktop Display Properties, selected the Desktop tab, and
found it no longer would let me install or choose a desktop backdrop. How
can I fix this?

Download Cleandesktop Directly to your Desktop
-------------------------------------------
http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/cleandesktop.exe

1.Double Click it to Run
2.It will automatically extract to c:\desktopclean and will automatically
run the cleandesktop.vbs script
3.If it does not run Automatically then
4. Navigate to c:\desktopclean and double click on the cleandesktop.vbs
5.Its not Malicious. If yuou have Script Blocking ... Allow it to Run
6.Then it Will Kill your Explorer and then restart Explorer
