Dell restore disk

I have a friend that wants me to restore two Dell computers to factory
state. He brought me both computers and all the disks he has for
them.

The computers look exactly alike. They do have the XP activation
codes on a label on the side of the computer. (I only have one
monitor and keyboard at my house so I will have to hook up only one
machine at a time)

I have 3 disks marked operating system. 2 are red and marked SP 1.
The other disk is marked SP2 and is purple.

I have two drivers and utilities disks that look exactly.

Is there a way other than trial and error (mostly error) to know what
disks go with which machine?
