Dell phone support would be 50 bucks

I still can't get my Dell inspiron 9300 to use the S Video output. I
called Dell and they wanted to charge me 50 bucks.

Anyone know of an internet support group for Dell laptops?

I tried Dell's forum. I am getting a message........Your email is

I will try the other other one.

Thanks

Depending on how long it has been since you "joined" the forum you may need
to look through your SPAM Email folder to see if their verification email
wound up in it.

What steps have you taken so far? What driver are you using? What
s-video adapter are you using (hopefully the Dell supplied one)?

I had to create another account to post at Dell. Dell suggested that
I try an HMDI cable. That worked actually, but I have to get it to
work with the S Video output. I am going to loan it to my sister so
she can watch a couple of ISOs on her TV. Her TV only has Svideo
inputs.

I used a system restore to go back to the factory condition. From
what I have read, S Video is 640x480. The lowest setting for the
built in card seems to be 800x600.

The thing is, I have used the laptop to display S Video before. My
memory is poor, but I don't remember having to get any extra drivers
to make it work before.
