Delivery and Read Receipts

Is there a way to use the delivery and read receipt without having an Exchange Server? If so, how would I go about doing that?

I have tested selecting the delivery and read receipt check boxes within th eoptions menu of a new message, but when I user gets the message no such request are presented to the receipent.

I have checked to make sure the user can receive the request, so I do not believe that is the issue.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked this up in Help? Directions are there. You can use this
without a server. Be aware that some recipients do not allow read receipts to
be sent.
