Deleting Search History

I was wondering if there was a way to delete the search
history...like when you type something into a search
engine, and then you type something else (that begins
with the same letter) the previous search appears in the
automatic pull down thing. I was wondering how to delete
it. I've already deleted my history, and that didn't
work. What do I do?

internet options > content tab > click auto complete
button and turn it off for forms.

For the *Address bar* Start>settings>taskbar & start menu>start menu
programs tab> clear documents>OK out.

For Google (for example) dropdown box searches. Control panel>IE
Options>Content tab>autocomplete> clear forms>OK>OK>OK out.
