Deleting corrupt files

S

Stanley Beamish

An application has deposited several files with large file names which seem
to have corrupted the directory in which they belong. The upshot of this is
that I can't remove the files or the directory by the usual methods (or
rename them to something smaller). Any ideas as to how to remove the
offending files gratefully received. I'm running W2K pro.

Cheers,

SB

Restart the machine to free any handles and use the posix commands to delete
the folder\files
