Undeleting files

Managed to overwrite an important file that I wanted to keep with another
(by renaming the original file, copying another file to the original file,
then stupidly removing the original (without sending it to the recycle bin)
then renaming the new file to something else. Tried various utilities to
try and recover it (such as FileRecovery), but these don't seem to work in
this scenario - anybody any ideas of what might work?

Hi Stanley -

It's likely the deleted file has already been overwritten, but you
might try the Deleted File Analysis Utility (towards the bottom of the
page at http://www.undelete.com/downloads/menu.asp) to see if the file
is still recoverable. If it is, then you should be able to recover the
file with our Undelete product.
