Deleting a key from HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software

I tried to delete a registry key from HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software
using the example from:

http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;en-us;279847

I can delete any other keys but not the ones from
"HKEY_USERS\.Default" which I can't even enumerate.

Can someone give me some clues?

Note that for Win2k SP4, you will need this hotfix
to be able to access HKEY_USERS with WMI:
