deleted user but still says other user using program

Hi

I am using XP home edition on a stand alone pc

I set up a second user as an experiment (i had read that you shouldn't use
the admin as the default)

Anyway I didn't end up using the second user as there was so much stuff to
transfer.

I have been using zoombrowser EX to manage my Canon camara's photos etc.

Since introducing the second user, when I try to download photos in the
admin user, it said that it was in use by another user and to log on as them
and close it.

I did that, and I also deleted the user from the control panel.

However I now get the message
"ZoomBrowser EX is currently opened by a different user. You will have to
switch Users and close ZoomBrowser EX before continuing."

I was going to use regedit and use find "user2name" and simply delete all
keys associated with the deleted user, to try and remedy the problem (on the
assumption that they are no longer needed and it will probably take out
anything to do with zoombrowser aswell)

Is this a safe way to do it?

I can only find 2 entries in the registry that still have any reference to
the username

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru\5603\001
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DocFold
erPaths\"user name 2"

How else can I get my pc to forget "user2" and all of its associations ever
existed?!!

Thanks for any tips in the right direction.

Charlie
