Delayed text input.

Hi, when I start up internet explorer and type in text
(into search engines etc) the text appears about 5-10
seconds later, like a delayed response, I could type in a
whole sentence and it would appear all in one about 10
secs later or slowly letter by letter.
Another problem I am having is on the scroll bar, I click
the mouse, drag it down but again I get a delayed
response, out of sequence.
Both these problems started happening for no apparant
reason.
I would be most grateful if anyone has any tips or
solutions.

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite)

First, from IE> Tools> Internet Options> Accessibility, is User Style Sheet
checked? If you don't deliberately use a style sheet, note the name of the
sheet and uncheck it. You can find and delete the sheet if you wish.

Next:
Download, install, *update* and run these two programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/

CWShredder is a specialized tool which removes CoolWebSearch variants. The
existence of a style sheet could indicate DataNotary a CWS variant.
