Defragmenter filled up my hard disk then stopped

I ran defragmenter to try and improve performance on my 20 GB hard disk.
There was about 20% free space when it started. After a few minutes, it had
got to 1% complete, and had filled up the remaining free space with what I
presume are temporary files. Then it just stopped. Now I have a full hard
disk. Does anyone know where defragmenter stores its temporary files, or how
else I might rectify this problem? Disk Cleanup does not seem to find the
files.

tomwatts,

I would suggest that you remove the malware and spyware from your system.
Defragmenter doesn't replicate files, only moves them.
