Definition Downloads

I have a unique situation where my proxy server has restricted us to internal
locations only. I was hoping to be able to download the definitions and
install them manually. Or possibly set one of our internal servers to act as
the host to hold the definitions. Any thoughts?

I'm guessing that since no one has replied to this, that Microsoft is not
interested in distributing the definitions for manual installation. Is anyone
else worried about leaving ports open just so we can use a Microsoft product,
meanwhile someone figures a way to sneak in the same door?
