Default homepage keeps getting changed

Jon

I recently upgraged to IE6, and now every day I start IE
my default homepage is set to "globe-search" or something
like that.

I have run adware and spybot r&d, but it has happened
again.

When I press the use default button on the Internet
options dialog box, I get a bunch of %signs followed by
numbers (something like "%35%79%23%67.....), I don't
recall all the numbers.

I have tried the regedit - no change, tried restoring the
old registry - same thing...

Can any one help me???

Same thing here. Downloaded same programs and restart
each time. Still have reset homepage and favorites
added. Let us know what you find out!

Read the following pages to get advice on how to remove and to stop it
happening again:

Get and update then run frequently after checking for new updates:

Hi Jon,

Global-Finder (CoolWebSearch spyware). This is a trojan/spyware that hijacks
Internet Explorer start and search settings to one of several different web
sites

Download CoolWebSearch destroyer from here:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip

And download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com and update it. It eliminates
for any other spyware, if present in the system.
