Default home page

Hi Group,

I am using IE6 on WindowsXP.Its current home page set to
something like "about:blank" which is a pornographic
page. All my efforts to reset this to something else like
www.microsoft.com has failed. Evern I tried editing the
registry but it didn't help. When I change it using
Internet options it changes for only that session and it
reverts back to about:blank next time I start the PC.
I am missing something, please help.

CWShredder from http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html can fix
this.

You should then follow up with Ad-aware and/or Spybot.

The CWS infection indicates that you need to go to Windows Update for
critical security updates for IE.
