default home page

My current default home page was replaced without giving
me a warning by a microsoft web site that had an option
to make their page, my default home page. I have not been
able to remove, what looks like a permanent default home
page. Microsoft has some instruction on how to do it, but
they do not work...

Install and run SpyBot Search & Destroy or Lavasoft's
Ad-ware. If no joy, run "Hijack This" - instructions
and info at above link.
