Default e-mail manager changes

P

Paulo Ferreira

Hello
Can someone tell me why is that anytime I start Windows, the default
e-mail manager changes from Outlook Express to MsOutlook.
I already changed all the parameters that I know to Keep Outlook
Express as the default manager.

Thanks

OL is known to "break" OE associations in your Registry, Paulo. Here's the
fix:

1. http://www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx; then...

2. http://www.oehelp.com/oelnk.aspx

If still no joy, see:

Thanks for your help.
The only thing that helped me was editing the registry as explained at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098.
The value that i had to DLLPATH was %programfiles%\outlook
express\msoe.dll and I changed it to c:\programas\outlook
express\msoe.dll.
After reboot the machine, outlook express staied as default editor for
all the programs.

Once again thanks for your help.

ps: my english may not be so good as I would like but I'm doing my
best.
