"Default Beep" (Windows XP Ding.wav) Heard At Shutdown

After logging off I go to Shutdown. After initiating the shutdown process
the OS begins to shutdown and at the very last moment, just before total
shutdown, the Windows XP Ding.wav (Default Beep) sounds. I believe this
means there is a problem somewhere, however, after months of searching for a
solution I haven't been able to correct the issue. Everything else with my
system seems to be working perfectly. Any help would be appreciated. Many
thanks, John
