Hi Its my dads computer I am asking about it is a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core processor 6000+ on an MSI MS-7250 version 2.0 motherboard running Windows XP with 2GB of matched RAM and an Nvidia Geforce 7300 GT Graphics card
The problem is that when I click on the start menu and try to shutdown or restart the computer nothing happens at all no matter how many times I click it
I have followed some of the instructions from another thread about needing to click the shutdown button twice but i didn't change the registry as it doesn't seem to be a slow shutdown it is a non-existant shutdown and none of these worked
I have created command line icons on the desktop and these work fine for both Shutting Down and Restarting the computer but my dad is insistant that something is wrong and wants his computer back to the way it was originally
Any tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated
