Acer. Hmm.

E-Buyer. Hmm.

The words 'Decent' & 'Acer' in one sentence. Hmm.

Doesn't anybody ever listen?

There is no free lunch.

Period.

I have no intention of buying one, however thought it might be nice to give someone the option to look maybe?

Agreed.

But.

After reading about people's problems with both Acer and E-Buyer on this very Forum, and having been stung no less than three times by E-Buyer, I thought it was worth mentioning my take on things.

Here's the rub, I honestly don't have any personal experience of laptops but from all the feedback I've gained if I were in the market for one I'd probably buy a Toshiba from a company like Laptops Direct.

I wouldn't buy a Dell. Mostly because from what I've read they tend to fall apart after about 18 months.

My ex brother-in-law often bought laptops for his customers, he always gave them a Toshiba model. Years later, they're all still functioning.

Or Compaq, just remember to remove the power lead after use.
