dcom error

I'm hoping somebody can give me a little direction with this error in event
log
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329269/en-us--i dont know what i did or
installed to start this error, which fills up the event viewer, system with
dcom error 1005--"The service cannot be started, either because it is
disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. "
attempting to start the service nscservice with arguments "" in order to run
the server: {09B7ADDC-8BF0-409B-8571-43E8EA2AAFA3}" --slightly different than
what the ms article points to-in any event, i only have mediocre skills and
am having a hard time understanding this error-can anybody help me stop it?

Hi there,
yes, well this is caused by the nscservice, which is a Symantec Anti-Virus
process. Has this been happening only recently? I'd see if you can
repair/uninstal Symantec, or contact their support.

nscservice is NSCSRVCE.EXE is the Norton Protection Center Service
(NSCService)

{09B7ADDC-8BF0-409B-8571-43E8EA2AAFA3} appears to be the CLSID for
NSCService

Apparently disabling the Norton Protection Center Service causes the DCOM
error.

Re-enable and start the NSCService service.

Open Services...
Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK |
Locate NSCService or Norton Protection Center Service and double click it |
Set the Startup type to Automatic | Click Apply | Click the Start button |
Click OK | Close Services

Or ask Symantec for help.

diable the protection .exe few weeks ago
