Date Settings

Hi All
I'm having a problem when i want to change the date type in Regional and
language options using the customize option.
At the moment the short date format is dd/MM/yyyy but if i want to change it
to yyyy-MM-dd it tells me that "one or more of the characters that you type
in this field are invalid. Try typing in different charcters."
Looking at my registry under hkey-current-user/ control panel/ i don't have
the folder international when I looked at another computer.
Can I export the international folder from that computer to the one that i'm
having a problem with? Could this sort out my problem?
Or is there another way of fixing this problem?
