Data labels on Line chart

R

Hi
I am trying to set up a chart in which dollar values are on the Y-axis
and years are on the X-axis. The data starts in 1993 and ends December
30, 2005. Is there any way to include data labels only on the last data
point for each series? When I select the data series to be modified,
then select|Format data series|Labels|Show Value, the data labels show
up for every data point in the series. I want a label on only the last
data point. Would this work better if I were to use a different Chart Type?

Thank you,
Rob

Nevermind, I just inserted a text box to accomplish the same thing. If
anyone knows of a better way, though I would appreciate learning about it.

Thanks,

Rob,
With just a couple of labels, the textbox is the way to go. However,
you might want to try the free Excel add-in "Chart Data Labels"
You can add data labels to a series using text from cells on a worksheet.
Select blank cells and no label is added, just the cells with data become labels.
Each label uses the cell formatting and the cell can be linked to the label.
Labels can also be positioned where you want.
Comes with an install/use Word.doc file.
