Here I go again...a question that has probably been answered but I
can't find it among the 3 million posts in this group.
I am getting the dreaded Internet Explorer has encountered a
problem...message on another computer. When it happened with my own
computer, a couple of you were nice enough to give me a great
solution. I downloaded spy sweeper which seems to have corrected
it on that computer.
However, I am using Spy Sweeper for the first time on this second
computer. There is one Spyware named Dap (download accelerator ) that
I cannot quarantine or remove. It has 3,900 traces!!!!! Anytime I
try to quarantine or delete, the computer freezes. I've tried at
least 5 times.
I've used Ad-Aware for a few months on that computer and thought I was
keeping up just fine. This "IE had encountered a problem..." has just
occured over the past week. I'm at my wits end, as my daughter
needs that computer for all her law school research and it's just not
working well at all.
Any ideas of why I can't get rid of the Spyware Dat, or how I can get
rid of it in another way (if I even should....maybe I need it to be
there????)
Thanks.
Becky
