DAO Libraries

Following a rebuild of my computer and full re-installation of XP-home and
Office 2000, I find that Access 2000 reports "MISSING: Microsoft DAO 3.5
Object Library" even though the files DAO35.AW, DAO35.CNT, DAO35.GID,
DAO35.HLP, DAO35.DLL DAO36.dll and DAO2535.TLB all exist under "C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO". Does anyone know how to persuade
Access 2000 to register this library in order to get my database working
again or am I faced with re-writing (in a non-Microsoft product) the
databases in order to access my data?

in visual basic
go to tools > references and add a reference to Microsoft DAO

if it is already checked, uncheck , Close, reopen , Recheck
