Cycle Redundancy Check

I've two operting systems installed on my machine (C: 2000 server) (E:XP Pro
Sp2).
I can copy and move any thing from drive C to E and from drive E to C. But
one file when i try to move from C: to E: it gives me this error message.
"Cannot copy *.*: Data error (Cycle Redundancy Check)".

1.What is this cycle Redundancy Check?
2. Is smoething wrong with my hard drive on the location where this file is
stored or just a file it self is corrupt? But it is music video file. I can
play this file very well no problem, either with Server 2000 or XP Pro OS.
It's a avi file. But y i can't copy.

You mean a Cyclical Redundancy Check (CRC).

It is a mathematical algorithm to determine that the file is intact and all "bits" are set
exactly to what they should be.

Your AVI file is corrupt.
