Custom Color schemes

Excuse me but the bain of my last 10 years has been MY color schemes on UR
operating system.

However, I have just upgraded to XP from W2000, run the old .reg file with
my Windows Color Schemes, but they are nowhere to be found in Display
Properties / Appearance / Color Scheme.

Would there be an easy answer to this?

MY operating system? Who do you think you're talking to? This is a public newsgroup. I haven't written any operating systems. But I know how to read the Help and Support Center ("To create your own desktop theme") and I know how to use a search engine.
