custom characters

Cab I insert a custom character/symbol into the character map or symbol so I
can insert it easily within Word? How?

You can create a macro to insert any character, or (easier) use the
AutoCorrect function. Since much of my writing involves legal issues, I
created AutoCorrect entries to insert the characters § and ¶. When I type
"sect." it creates §, and I use "para." to get ¶.

I didn't make that very clear. I want to create my own symbol, from a piece
of art, and then make it available via the character map just like any other
standard symbol, so I don't have to insert a small, inline graphic.
