Cursor Appearance

Amy

A perfectly functioning, maintained windows XP home - the
one that came with my new notebook - has suddenly started
to throw out funny looking cursors.

Every cursor, in every application, is normal, except that
they now have two small vertical bars, aligned vertically,
one above the other, and about the size of a normal dash
character, following them everywhere.

This an intermittent problem. Generally, the cursors are
normal at boot-up, and the problem usually begins upon
opening some application or another. Sometimes the
problem just goes away for ten minutes or so, and then it
returns.

I have tried changing the cursor scheme. This gives me
the new cursors, but the vertical bars are still there.
You would be surprised how this drives you nuts!

Here is my email: aspect-at-sfecon.com. I hope Microsoft
wants to get to the bottom of this one.

Why should they? It's not a Microsoft problem.
