ctr+alt+del and device manager

Steve T

1. When installing programs in WIN98SE I generally close all applications
by doing the Alt - Ctrl - Del thing until all that is open is Systray and
Explorer. How do I do that in XP?

2. Where is the XP equivalent of Device Manager in WIN98SE?
Thanks, Steve T

Task Manager

Depending on your systems settings
If you press Alt - Ctrl - Del it will popup a dialog that has a button for
Task Manager

alternatively

Right click the taskbar and select Task Manager

or

run taskmgr.exe

There is no need except for some installation you have to disable the
antivirus prior to installation.
