Crysis Thread!

The alpha is done and the beta demo is not a million miles off – it’s definitely coming though. The game is in really great shape and there are a number of things that work extremely well.

Everything you’ve seen in the videos is real, and there is a whole bunch more stuff still to come that you’ve not seen yet. Let me just say that it’s a really exciting title and I wish I could say more!

Sounds like its right on target for a September release! I really cant wait!!

I may even go Vista and DX10 for this, sounds like the drivers have come a long was since i last saw anything...Well apart form the X-FI drivers anyway....

Well i was expecting more of a response regarding this game...

Looks like things are also set for a september 14th release over here too. Pre-order at the ready!!

I hate Vista though. I REALLY don't want to upgrade. Ever.I think when XP dies I will just go Linux and hope somebody writes a game or 2 that will somehow magically owrk cross platform...

Makes my 7900 look all weedy and pathetic.

Bet you need a dual 8800gtx w/ quadcore to make it look like that though. Especially games run slower in Vista anyway.

I'm actually warming to Vista, the latest Nvidia driver are apparently quite good, but still not perfect. Creative's X-FI drivers are still lagging behind though.....

The more of this game i see the more i really really want to play it!!

September 14th (11th in USA) over here is the dates that keep popping up on the net, so with any luck thats gonna be about right.

Comp for this would be good, but i've had it on preorder for most if not all of this year so i wont be entering. Good idea though.

Ya know, with all this talk about Crysis.... Im suprised that noone has mentioned Bioshock!
They both look good but i have to admit Bioshock looks much more cleaner and has fancier effects

perhaps its because i wasnt a huge fan of Farcry, that crysis isnt looking as interesting to me.
But Bioshock looks fun
