Critical Updates

Hi

I have just re-installed WinXP Pro following an unsolvable problem. However,
now I am told that 16 Critical updates are ready for download by Windows
Update, it proceeds to 'load' them in just a few seconds and then hangs
whilst trying to install them.
It appears that it thinks that the updates have already been downloaded
which they were before I re-installed but, of course, they don't now exist.
Is there anything I can do to get out of this.

try downloading them one at a time
or goto the windows update catalogue save them all to your hard drive and
then run them one at a time
