Creating user-level security on a split database

How can I add user-level security to a split database,
individual front-ends and common back-end.

Just to add to Scott's reply, you would create a new workgroup file to
secure the frontend, and then use the same workgroup file to secure the
backend.

You need to only secure one frontend. Then disseminate it to each user.
Tony Toews has a utility you can use to easily update each frontend when
there are changes.
