Creating mde files in 2003 don't run in 2002

I have several Access databases that are largely VBA-based front-end apps to
SQL Server. If I compile them in 2003 as mde files, users with Access 2003
can run them fine, but users of Access 2002 get messages that the vba code is
corrupt and/or the database is an unrecognized format. If I open the mdb
file in Access 2002 and then create the mde file, the users of Access 2002 (&
the users of 2003) can run them with no problems. I’d like to work on my
main desktop which only has Access 2003 installed. Is that possible?

Nope. If you want/need MDEs then you need to compile them in the oldest
format amongst your users and that can only be done using that same version
of Access.
