crashes when viewing folders with images

Steve

I am using XP home edition (with SP1). When using
explorer or my computer to view folders with image files
(primarily .jpg files)Windows VERY ofter crashes not
allowing me to view the contents of the directory. This
occurs often, on differant folders (always containing
image files). Usually, whatever I'm using to try to view
the image crashes (explorer, etc) and XP recovers.
Folders that have this problem have it consistantly. The
images appear to be good files when viewed using a photo
editor (Photoshop, etc.).
Any ideas?

Try this:

Right click on a .jpg file and choose Properties.
Click the Photoshop Image tab and uncheck the
"Generate Thumbnails" button, then click OK.
