Explorer crashes when viewing photo folders

When viewing some of my photo folders (usually with
Thumbnail view selected), Windows Explorer crashes. This
only haappes for some folders but, as a short-term
solution, I have found that I can solve the problem by
transferring the folder from the My Documents section to
the normal c drive. I can then view the folder without
any problem

Any ideas as to what causes the original problem ? I have
already tried configuring the folder settings plus the
affected files did not contain a mix of file types.

Do you happen to have Adobe PhotoShop or
Elements installed?

If you do...right click on a .jpg file and choose
Properties. Click the Photoshop Image tab
and uncheck the "Generate Thumbnails" button,
then click OK.
