crappy homepage thing

hey everybody
i am having trouble with my homepage setup.
I usually have Google as my homepage but i now get this
crappy search engine that defaults itself as my homepage,
no matter how many times i change it back to Google it
keeps coming back, i have tried deleting cokoies, temp
interent files but even if i do that it still coems back
the site that pops ups if u wanted to know is http://4-
counter.com/?b=lili111 i dont know weather other ppl are
suffereing from this disease, but please can anyone help
me, its really narking me off

A Classic description of spyware on your computer. So now you've got
some work to do. Start by downloading, installing and updating Adware
6.0 and Spybot Search & Destroy 1.3 beta. Make sure you update the
programs as soon as you install them. Btw, they're freeware.

Also install CWShredder asap to clean up those little nasties.
Finally, install Spyware Blaster since you computer seems open to this
issue. If you don't understand the use of HOSTS files, then go to
this site and study it ... follow the guidance like gospel!

Google will list sites for these A+ programs. You've got a bit of
mess to clean up. Good luck,

I would suggest running a spyware killer program. They
have free ones on Download.com and type in SPY BOT.

That will clean your registry out and allow you to set the
menu bar as well as homepage.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
