hi i've just installed win 2000 advanced server in a AMD Athlon XP3200+,
1.5gb RAM, HDD SATA 80gb

in the local network are 5 users, and 3 more users are conected by terminal
services, i'm having some problems because at certain time it slows, i
ran the task manager and i found the processor use is at 100% and it doesn't
goes down, it can last several minutes and then goes up from 0 to 100%
very quickly

at the processes tab i found that SPOOLSV.EXE had 99%, i searched the web
and i found that i should stop and restart the printing service, but the
problem continueas and now spoolsv.exe is not using any processor %

one time it happened that i was working at the server modifiying some
reports and i opened START-RUN-CALC and then the % went to 100% and it
doesn't came down

what i should check or deactivate to correct this problem

thanks in advance

hola

gracias

ivan
