couldn't load linux after installing windows XP

My machine now has 3 OS. Here's the installation sequence:
1) windows 2000 2) Red Hat Linux 3) windows XP

Before installing Windows XP, I was able to see the boot menu that
allowed me to choose either Windows 2000 or Red Hat Linux.

After installing Windows XP, I couldn't see Red Hat Linux on
the boot menu anymore.

I used Parition Magic Boot, and I am able to see Red Hat Linux
on the boot menu, but when I selected Linux, it waited forever
and couldn't load Linux, and I couldn't see any error messages.

Any ideas? Please advise.
thanks!!

When you installed Windows XP, it overwrote LILO. Use your Red Hat CD as a
rescue CD, mount the Linux partition, and re-install LILO by running
/sbin/lilo .

Follow-up set to comp.os.linux.setup.

Use a partition tool to create your windows and linux partitions. To save a
pain in the neck put windows on the first one. Windows gets cranky unless
it's on the first partition. Pop in the Windows CD and install that first,
then do what ever distro you want. I find that usually works best.

It is possible for distro's like SUSE to resize your Windows partition. But
I find some times that can lead to random weirdness. I have Win98 (don't
ask) on the first partition and I needed some more memory for SUSE, so I
resized the windows partition and now I'm unable to run scandisk or defrag.
The only thing I can think of is that when resizing it did some weird thing
so now it wont work right until that windows partition is re-formated.
