could not use 'Admin'; file already in use

I've recently been seeing the following error message pop up occassionally:

An Access error message reading "Could not use 'Admin'; file already in use."

The database is an Access 03 database, with the back end being SQLServer.
The database is secured, using a .mdw file.

What could be causing this message? It resolves itself after a while, but
am not sure what is causing it to occur.
