corrupt master file table

my sons c: drive would not boot (win2000prof)

seagate tools says the drive is fine

I moved it to the e: drive and received the message
"corrupt master file table checkdisk aborted"

If someone could give me some guidance on how to restore the drive it would
be greatlly appreciated

if this is not the best newsgroup for this question then Im open to
suggestions as well

I'd suggest using UseNet through Google groups because Microsoft does not
manufacture hard drives. The only other possibility might be a Windows 2000
newsgroup such as:

microsoft.public.win2000.general
