Copying WXP partition to a new hard drive: WXP doesn't start

After copying (cloning) the WXP partition using Power
Quest's Drive Copy 4.0 from an 80 GB HD to a 200 GB hard
drive without changing the size or location of the
destination partition (that is, the WXP partition is the
same size on both partitions) with increased sizes of
only the other "data" partitions using Partition Magic
8.0, then making the new hard drive the new boot drive,
WXP boots into the "Welcome" screen and then stops. If I
reinstall WXP into that same, transfered partition, then
WXP works, but the WXP drive letter (which was
previously "J" for some reason) is now "C" and many
applications won't run due to their new locations,
including those requiring "C-Dilla" for license-registry
verification, as well as several devices. Reinstalling
WXP and all of my other software is a pain. Can WXP just
be cloned to a new hard drive? Thanks for your advice.

There's a beta version of a new utility by Kan Yabumoto that you may
want to check out at www.xxclone.com with some recent background
discussions on xxclone in the xxcopy discussion group.
