For a start, SHOUTING is rude and harder to read.

Secondly, we have no clue what sort of phone you are using, so barely know
where to begin.

As Mike states, do not post in uppercase, for in netiquette that is
considered as shouting and very rude. Suggest you contact your
cellphone service provider for assistance. Probably the format
of the music you downloaded is not compatible with your phone.
Not to be nosey, but why are you putting music in your phone?
Do you not have an MP3 player? A phone is a phone, not a
source for music entertainment which eats up your batteries
in a heartbeat. Ringtones maybe, not music.......period!

Firstly I apoligize for shouting.I am new to the computer world,so didnt
realize that using upperclass letters is refered to as shouting.
I also seemed to have stated my question wrongly.I havent got a problem with
transfering mp3 to phone that I have downloaded, because they are already in
mp3 formats. The problem I have is I obviously have to convert music that I
have copied from my cd into mp3 format before I can send it to my
phone.[which I didnt realize to begin with}So my new question is,How do I
convert into mp3 using my media player and do I have to download a specfic
converter from the web?

Once again I apoligize for being rude and also if my questions sound stupid
but please bear in mind how new I am to this.

It's a good idea before posting to a newsgroup, to look for answers there
already, and see how to frame questions.

If you have already ripped your CDs to MP3 files, then I don't see why you
have to "convert into MP3".

Also we still have no idea what phone you are using or if you have checked
its documentation to see if it actually supports MP3 playback, or has other
limitations.
